There are endless different accessories that you can include in your gym bag, it’s knowing the ones that are going to work for you and improve your workouts that you should invest in.

An actual gym bag.
This one is kinda obvious, without a gym bag you have to try to handle all your gym accessories between your two hands. This is not practical.
Personally, I would invest in a bag that has several compartments, that way it is easier to keep things separated.

Resistance Bands.
In my opinion resistance bands are one of the most underrated gym accessories, they have so many different functions it would be foolish to not be utilizing them.
Resistance bands can be used to help you if you want to lift a bigger weight or add more resistance to make the weight you are lifting more difficult. I like using resistance bands for things like pull-ups and banded press-ups, meaning I can do more reps for more sets.
You can get both smaller lengthed and larger lengthed resistance bands. Depending on your goals for using them will depend on which ones you would want to use.

Lifting Straps.
When you are lifting heavier weights, lifting straps are going to make your life a whole lot easier I promise you.
Using lifting straps helps to improve your grip strength on the dumbbell, barbell etc. And because your grip isn’t as strong as your muscles are, aiding your grip in any way that you can is just going to improve your overall performance in the gym.
I also want to clarify that a heavy weight to you may not be a heavy weight to someone else and that is ok. If you feel like your gripstength is giving out on you, whatever the weight lifting straps will help you.
Bear Grip Lifting straps
Bear Grip lifting straps come in a range of colours and have extra length for that extra support. They have great grip and stability as well as being made out of durable materials.

Barbell Pad.
Having my own barbell pad to use for hip thrusts was honestly a lifesaver.
Gyms are so busy nowadays and trying to find a barbell pad on a Monday evening when every other person was doing leg day was honestly impossible. Even if you found one it was always the one that was too stretched to stay on the bar.
Iron Bull Strength.
I would recommend getting a pad that has velcro straps, they stay on the barbell better and there is no moving them around once they are on.

For anyone who does hip thrusts, this is one of the best gym accessories to have in my opinion.
Water Bottle.
If you aren’t taking water to the gym to hydrate yourself during your workout, you are not doing your body any good.
Taking great gallons of water to the gym is unnecessary but taking a small water bottle to have sips in-between your sets is just right.
There are so many different water bottles to choose from and honestly, it is just down to your preference.

I would recommend getting a water bottle that has some sort of straw and markings as to how much you have drank. This way it is easier to take small sips of water in between sets and track how much you drink each day.
